Card reader is very good for non-reflective /non-high-gloss cards, as the best results are when the picture is taken with the camera light on, and the glare messes the reader up. Similarly, without the light, any shadowing can lead to strange results. Probably 70-80% of the cards are "read" accurately and require no touch up, most problems come from fancy fonts or logos. Categorizes phone number vs address vs name vs profession/title surprisingly well. Major con for me: aside from lighting (addressed earlier) the addresses default to USA (most cards dont list country in address), which is a pain for us Canadians. This should be adjustable in settings somewhere. Changing country to Canadian is a pain with the drop down style menu. Overall, a good purchase, and better than the other free apps I tested - hence I bought this one.

The does what I was looking for, all my biz cards in one place, digitally stored, searchable and each card "magically" converts into a new contact, but the good thing that is a contact within the app !!! so no unnecessary contacts on your personal contacts !

Quick and easy and even has suggestions as well. Also, it syncs right to your contacts, I highly recommend!

Have used for several weeks without a hitch!! Has made keeping track of business card info so much easier and efficient recommend for all business people!!

I have been searching for a way to get my Evernote business card scans, from Scan Snap, into my Outlook for Mac Contacts. Evernote support didnt have an answer so I searched the iTunes App Store and found ScanBizCards Pro. I installed it and configured it to talk to Evernote. It already saved to my iPhone Contacts. First try it all worked - the contact info was in my iPhone and in Evernote. Bye bye to using ScanSnap for Biz Cards. Also, I can use it everywhere. It also syncs with other CRMs. I cant say enough good things about ScanBizCards Pro!!!

A friend recommended this app. I just downloaded it and scanned my first biz card in. It autopopulated all the information from the photo Awesome!

Short version: Love this app. Use it daily. Just go ahead Download this one now, save time. (I tried several others, kept this one, upgraded to pro.) Long version: How I use it: I use this app to quickly photograph the business cards I receive at trade shows, client meetings, and other business venues. Right there. In my car, at the hotel, right after the trade show, just takes a minute... Transcribing: If the lighting is even and I have a steady hand, the data is transcribed perfectly. Otherwise, some fonts or font sizes give the app difficulty. Overall Review: For my needs, (and for the low price of this pro version) it is well within my expectations and worth downloading and using now. Option I like: For cards that are dual-sided, I can also take a photo of the back. (It does not transcribe the back). Details-How I use it: After the initial pass, I may go back and check the name, phone number, and email address for errors. When you tap on the data it zooms to the spot on the card making it easy to find and fix the problem. Dual Language: It is possible to add additional fields like a name in an alternate language. This data is stored data but is not visible unless you enter edit mode. Cool: When you rotate your phone sideways to landscape it automatically provides a full screen view of the card. That is useful. Things that Could be better: 1) when in portrait mode, the card is displayed on the upper half of the screen, and I can zoom in on the card. It only on that little portion of the screen. In Landscape, the card is full screen, but I cant zoom. 2) Would like to auto sort by company. 3) When entering a large stack of cards all at once, wish there was a "continuous" mode to shoot a lot of cards at once. Currently you must tap "scan new card" for every card. 4) Wish it stored most recent searches. Overall I am super duper happy with this app. I gave it 5 stars and then dropped one star for: a) not scanning the back (it does *store* the photo which is awesome!) b) not displaying the dual language info I entered manually c) not being able to zoom when in landscape mode d) not storing my last search And If you are still reading... I use this app everyday. I gave it 4 stars but really thats a 4.9. I absolutely love the functionality. This app lets me connect easily through a fast search that lets me find cards based on a key word, or an event, or a time... Previously I subscribed to a company that would "perfectly" transcribe my cards front and back and load them into SalesForce. All for a fee. Had to use their proprietary scanner when I got back to the office. That was high end, perfect, detailed, and built for volume. The whole office used it and it linked all of our data so we could see who met with whom. It even used the cloud to update titles and other info real time. Nice. *was* worth it then. But that was a *large* monthly expense. And it took 24 hours for the data to be avaialable.. This app? The data is mine and on my phone in seconds, there is a tiny one-time fee, and I dont have to trudge back to the office for bulk scan day. Just get the app. Youll like it.

Changed to a new phone and downloaded the latest update only to find this app no longer syncs to Outlook but integrates with every CRM system out there? There is a link to download a separate app to manage this very basic functionality. Complete fail!

It is not without flaws but no OCR readers are, but it does a better Job than any other OCR reader I have tried. Easy enough to take care of and update. Change wrong info as well This is for the free version

Works very well. A real time saver! Just updated with new version. Still works great.

Dont love it though still would like to see better interpretation of business cards I have to go in and edit quite a bit of information sometimes even simple information that appears to be very clear on the card. Overall though I do like the app
